YAY CON! -Spaz Dance-

It has been 61 days since my last post. I really should concentrate on this thing more often. -sigh-
Ok, so what have I been up to?

So, the first thing that jumps to mind is the fact that I went to Con. Saboten-con, to be exact. And this made me extraordinarily happy. It was more fun that Con-Nichiwa (although I'm really looking forward to that in March) simply because it was so much bigger. I didn't cosplay (not enough time or money.), but I got the chance to hang out with some pretty awesome people (Ashley and her friends, Leann and her friends. <3) I came away from that Con with what I was intending to: an attendance to a panel on Bleach and a Ichimaru Gin plushie (it's pretty much my favorite thing ever right now.) Have I mentioned that he's my official favorite character in Bleach? I'm sooo glad he's actually the good guy. Except that then he died... Opps, sorry. Did I just spoil it? (It's kinda a given that he dies, though...) Next Con, I'm aming for either a Sesshomaru or Allen Walker plushie (or a Crona plushie, if those even exist.) And Crona brings me to my next topic.

Ok, yes. I didn't cosplay at Con, but some of my besties threw a Soul Eater cosplay party. I wasn't given much warning though... This is how it went:
Regina: Hey, you want to come to our Soul Eater cosplay party?
Me: Yeah.
Regina: Awesome! You should be Crona.
(Planning, etc.)
Me: -hangs up, stares at the phone- Ooook... now I have a week to get together a cosplay...
It didn't turn out half bad, actually. I'm going to perfect it by Con-Nichwa, and I'll have a Ragnarok. CAN'T WAIT!
Well, that's enough anime fangirling for now.

The other thing that's made me really happy recently is the fact that I finally got to see Avatar (the one with the blue people.) It was really good. And the blue people made me really happy. Especially their tails. I like tails.

My last note for this post relates to the fact that I'm letting Ashley borrow my tablet. (This is making her really excited and it makes me smile. :D) However, I feel like I'm going to forget to bring it on Monday. I have this urge to write "TABLET" in huge letter in sharpie up my arm. I feel like a scenario like this is going to happen:

Me: -takes off jacket-
One of my friends at church: Why do you have "TABLET" written on your arm?
Me: So I don't forget it. (Obviously)
Them: Ok then.

Well, then good night.

My Life in 10 Bullet Points

Hello again... I'm not dead yet.

I actually don't have an awful lot to talk about. I mean, stuff's happened, but it's not that noteworthy. Hm... best way to deal with this (and writers block -head desk-) is to make a list.

1. Made friends on the bus (Only took me 3 years.... -sigh-)
2. Role-played A LOT.
3. Played Resident Evil 4 (I'll tell you a story about that after my list.)
4. Wrote a 5 page essay in 2 days. (Ick)
5. Almost did a meme. (I still might do it, I just need to drag my art muse out of the attic.)
6. Watched White Collar (<3! I finally finished the first season.. :D)
7. Decided to go to Con. (There's going to be the voice actor of Ichigo there... -swoon-)
8. Tried to decide who to cosplay at Con. (I'm leaning towards Rukia at this point.)
9. Fangirled over varioius things. (White Collar, Inu-Yasha, D. Gray Man)
10. Cried while reading the newest chapter of Bleach. (Chapter 416... -sniff sniff-)

Ok, so Resident Evil 4. It's a game about a practically post apocalyptic world where there are mostly only Zombies with pitch forks, chain saws, scythes (etc.) trying to kill you. It's extraordinarily violent... but so much fun. My friend has it and we've been slowly working our way through it. Funny story about the chain saw, though. It's a one player game, by the way. One person plays (as Leon), and the rest of us stand around yelling at them.

Josh: Why do I hear a chain saw?
Everybody else: BEHIND YOU!
-Poor Leon gets decapitated... That happens to him a lot-

It's kind of gone down in history. We like making fun of him for it. I beat one of those little buggers today too (the chain saw guys. They're a different breed of zombie and they're harder to kill.) Good times...

Yeah, so I'm going to Con. And I need a costume... And people to go with... It's a work in progress. If anyone has any tips on how to get a Rukia costume together in a month when you don't have very much free time, please tell me... :D

Finally, on Chapter 416. Skip this part if you haven't read the chapter, MAJOR spoilers.
Ok, I really was crying by the end of this chapter. Gin is (was) one of my favorite characters. Ah well, at least he died the good guy... -sniff sniff sob- And there was a major GinRan moment at the end. And then Ichigo showed up with something that looks suspiciously like a body over shoulder and no explanation... Next chapter's gonna be interesting...

I feel like this was a boring post... sorry.

L-squares and... death.

Oh, look... I'm not dead.


Ok, first off, a reference to Bleach-In-A-Box. Haven't the last few chapters of Bleach and Naruto been pretty much the best thing ever?! I mean, seriously. They've been freaking amazing! On another (related, for once) note, I figured out why there are parts of Naruto that suck so much. All of the amazing characters died before the manga even started. Minato? Kushina? They're all dead... and come to think of it, that's pretty depressing. So I think I'm gonna shut up now... Ok, moving on.


Ok, so here's what I've been doing since I last posted.
I have...
Gone to the mountains.
Played my violin until my fingers practically fell off.
Planned my death.
Gone on my first legit roller coaster.
Become obsessed with roller coasters.
Had a dance party in a moving car.
Written a book report and a half.
Gone to registration.
Contemplated Inu-yasha, Bleach, and Naruto.
Written very little.


So, the mountains and violin stuff. I went to a chamber music camp recently. Chamber music, in layman's terms, is small group music. For instance, I played in a quintet as a second violin with another violin, a viola, a cello, and a bass. We played Boccherini's Quintet in E major, Opus 13, No. 5. I love chamber music, so this was loads of fun. A little note on CMIM (Chamber Music in the Mountains. That's what the camp's called.): In all of your spare time, you play cards. I have never played so many card games in my entire life. I've also perfected the art of shuffling at this camp.


Next, the roller coasters. My church went on a trip to Six Flags the day after I got back from CMIM. That place is amazing and I love it so much. My first roller coaster ever: Terminator Salvation: The Ride. It's amazing. My favorite roller coaster ever: Colossus. The best ride at Six Flags to ride at night (with or without your eyes closed): Ninja. That place is so much fun.


Then there was the dance party incident. My Church was traveling to Six Flags in three 15 passenger vans, our normal mode of transportation. Our van literally started up a dance party in the line to get into the Six Flags parking lot. Our leader (who was driving) rolled down his window and told every car we passed to turn the radio. It was amazing, but then we tried it with an older man with two little kids in the car. That effectively killed it. But still. It was absolutely amazing.


There was also a guy doing wheelies on a motorcycle at 40 MPH on the freeway, but that's another story.


As for planning my own death, it has been decided (not by me) that I am going to be killed, put out for viewing in a golden violin case, then cremated and scatered out at sea with Regina and Elizabeth. I really do love them. <3 :D

Wait, I lied. One last side note, in the form of a very true conversation between my mother, my father, and myself:
Dad: "Why is there an L-square in your bedroom?"

Later

Dad: "I've never had an L-square."

Mom: "Neither have I."

Me: "Don't look at me."

Dad: "Maybe one of your friends brought it too a sleepover."

Me: "If that's what you want to think, sir."

Dad: "Yeah. I'm going to bring an L-square to my friend Dora's house for a sleepover and hide it behind her chest of drawers. Won't she be surprised."

And another conversation later that day, between us.

Mom: "I have no memory of buying this!"

Me: "Maybe there's a fairy in our house that brings random things."

Dad: "Well then, it has very diverse tastes. Violin duets, L-square. Why can't we have a fairy who brings chocolate bars?"

*Fan Girl Moment!*

I was planning on writing a blog post every day, but the computer died and then I was lazy… so the long and the short of it is that I’ve only got two blog posts to show from this vacation, but hey, at least I wrote some. Ok, so here’s what I’ve done since my last blog post:

1. Seen Knight and Day and The Sorcerer’s Apprentice (The former for the second time. I love that movie…) The Sorcerer’s Apprentice was ok, not worth seeing a second time, though.

2. Gone to Sedona, the land of crystals and other spiritual… stuff. They had a sign for chakra readings. All I could think of was Naruto.

3. Gone shopping in places that are far far out of my price range. Nordstrom and American Eagle? Defiantly not where I normally shop. I did however manage to get a shirt from Abercrombie, but only because it was waaaay marked down. It did make me happy though, I now own something brand name.

4. Watched way too much TV. Whenever I’m in a place where there is cable, I just kind of vegetate on the couch and watch Crime Scene Investigation shows. A few of my favorites are Law and Order: Criminal Intent, Monk, Bones, NCIS, and Psych. Why Criminal Intent? Because Robert Goren (Vincent D’Onofrio) is the best thing in all of those series. NCIS and Bones crack me up. Monk is a family thing. Psych is hilarious.

5. Stayed up till at least midnight every single night. :D

6. Purchased the fist 24 episodes of Bleach which made me (very) happy! The subtitles are kind of fail, thought. Case in point: “Do you know my pajamas?” The proper  translation (I’m guessing. I do not speak the Japanese.) “Do you know where my pajamas are?” The first thing I thought to say to the TV: “No, not personally. I am interested to get to know them better, however.”

7. Cultivated fan girl tendencies towards a couple of new things, which is now what I am going to write about right now.

Ok, so I found what is pretty much the best show ever. White Collar. I love it to absolute death. It’s kind of crime scene investigation, but with white collar crimes instead of murder (bank robbery, forgery, etc.) I’ve only seen two episodes, but I’m defiantly planning on getting the first season on DVD. Yes, it is that good. At any rate, I am kind of a Neal Caffrey fan girl now (main character in White Collar.) He reminds me of Artemis Fowl, if Artemis ever became a lady’s man or was stupid enough to get caught (not happening.)

The other thing I became a fan girl of Katsina dolls. Katsina dolls are these little dolls that are made by Native Americans and they embody evil spirits. I love them. A lot, actually. My parents got me one and I am going to put it in a place of honor as soon as I repaint my room.

I saw something rather entertaining today when I went to see The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. There were these people at the mall that were half cosplaying. By half cosplaying I mean that there was just enough of the costume so you knew that it was a character, but they were still wearing normal clothes. When I first saw them, I just thought, “Hey. People with spikey hair.” Which made me think of Kingdom Hearts (I don’t know why) and then I noticed this one girl. She had her hair up in pigtails, and it was dyed red with the cheap aerosol stuff. Now, for reasons beyond me (maybe a connection to Temari?) the accepted hair do for a female version of Gaara. So, these pigtails reminded me of him. Then I saw her face and I knew she defiantly was trying to imitate Gaara. How do I know? Well how many people do you know that walk around the mall with the kanji for “love” written on their forehead in red eyeliner pencil? She was also wearing an FMA t-shirt. Totally made my day.

I’m going back home tomorrow, so adieu. (Did those two things have any connection? Not really.)

On one final side note, I’m watching Law and Order: SVU out of the corner of my eye on USA and every time there’s a commercial for White Collar, my eyes go to it and I stop typing for long enough to watch it. Totally obsessed. :D

On yet another side note, I just bought 4 volumes of Bleach on the way back home (we stopped at a used book store. $4 each and I now only need volumes 9 and 19 before I have every volume from 1 to 21 (or 22. I don’t remember.)) Yes, this is being typed in the car, I’m not seeing the future or anything.
